• Norman Malm was passionate about environmental injustices. Here we see him use his pen and ink to mock a housing development named Oak Ridge that has caused the destruction of the oaks for which it is named. A child plaintively asks his father "what is an oak?" This pen and ink drawing is on a cream-ish colored piece of 9x12 heavy drawing paper. It is attached to an 11x14 mat. The piece is signed but undated.
