This catalpa gentleman is slouched happily waiting to come home to your house. Standing at about 14 inches, he has a couple of imperfections and is priced accordingly. Pencil signature on feet with the Anton being a bit hard to read but the Pearson easily read. His suit lapel has a line of separation into his shirt. This could be a naturally occuring split in the catalpa or a slip of the carver's knife. Anton isn't around to tell us which. There is discoloration on the back of the left jacket sleeve and pant leg as well as a potential bump to the right side of this guy's nose. Again, we aren't able to tell if these were original to the carving - perhaps a challenging piece of wood, a slip of the knife, or if they are incidents that occurred later in the carving's life. He is priced accordingly so please look at all of the photos closely and ask for more if you need them to make a decision!
Please read description and examine photos carefully. We are glad to answer questions or send more photos before you complete your purchase.
